Danny stopped in his tracks when he finally saw Chelsea. His eyes were alight with happiness, yet muddled down with confusion and anxiety as well. Her words weren’t what he wanted to hear, not at all. He shifted around on his feet and swallowed a lump in his throat. “No, that’s not what I came here to say,” he said, his voice lowered a bit. He walked slowly and turned to face her, trying to summon the airs of confidence he always tried to put on for show.“I wanted to say that I am falling - falling…” He had a hard time saying what he was trying to say, faltering in the midst of his confession but at the same time trying so hard to have confident intrigue like he used to before he got hit hard with psychosis. He took a deep breath and looked at her beautiful face. “Falling in love with you.” Now he could only hope that she felt the same way, that she thought that they could be more than friends.
The brunette rose one of her eyebrows as she heard him say that he wasn’t here to say that. That was a surprised. It was surprising he didn’t come here just to blow her off. She really thought she was going to be blown off…which is why she just ran like a frightened deer in the morning. There was no point in telling her something she already knew. Chelsea bit her bottom lip and sighed, trying to listen to her explanation. The weird thing was that he looked oddly nervous…well, he did look like that a lot lately…especially after all the psychosis he was going through lately.
“Falling?” She said a little nervously…what did he mean by falling? Falling figuratively? she was completely confused at first…not knowing how to react…what to say even. Then he said it…the words…falling in love with…her eyes widened at this and she bit her full bottom lip, “I-really? I mean…when did this start happening…I…” she whispered out as she looked him up and down. His beautiful tall lean frame…she couldn’t deny that she couldn’t quite love a man like that…but she didn’t quite know what she felt, “I don’t…” she said softly, eye wide, she didn’t finish the sentence.
